I have no idea what all the hype was about this movie. Acting was good but the story just didn't bring me where I thought it was. Nothing really special about this movie. I wouldn't waste the time going to see this one in the theatre. You'll probably see this one on TNT in two years.

Not sure if any of you read the same review of it that I did, but this movie should never have been compared to Blade Runner.

The movie isn't bad, it just isn't much of anything good.

Yeah. That reviewer was on crack. All I saw was the preview on TV and I could tell it was no Blade Runner. Blade Runner had a unique visual style - kind of Gibson meets Hammet if you will. Every frame had a rich life regardless of the focus.

Children of Men was obviously shot with that strangely flat lighting that you see in all the BBC-produced movies these days. It's either shot on video, or they've invented a film camera uniquely capable of sucking all the life out of a shot. Ignoring the hackneyed plot, the there's no way this movie lives up to Blade Runner.

Okay, so I used to be an AV geek.
