Ok.. i finally got 3.55 ring and pinion installed and rebuilt the traction lock in the 93 LX. I was just curious where I would see any improvement from the stock gears.

Nice job G-man. Gears are one of the best mods for a fox body. You will see a nice seat of the pants acceleration improvement over your stock 3.08's. Redoing the rear was also wise. I personally feel that gas mileage concerns are way overblown - in fact, you won't have to romp on the gas to get it going, which uses gas. You may actually sometimes see a gas mileage improvement. Enjoy!

You should see an improvement the very first time you drive it. You'll have to shift more frequently as the motor shouldn't take as much effort to turn those rear tires. Bottom end is where you'll see the most improvement. But with the improvement on the bottom end, it will cost you on the top end. You didn't go very drastic so you didn't give up much. Hope you enjoy them!

i believe the best all-around gear, most would say, is the 3.73's...i have the stock 3.55's in my sixer and love 'em; now only if i could get a t-lok so i can have two wheels spinning instead of one :grinking:
