Greetings all,
For good or ill, I picked up a '66 coupe in December (after more than three months of searching). Here are some pics:

I'm joining up here for moral support and technical advice. She needs to have the cowl repaired (no real surprise there), the a/c system fixed (will probably switch over to r134), and the bottom edges of the doors replaced (rust bubbles if you can believe it).

With the box of musty records that came with the car, I found the original owner's manual showing she was sold on July 11, 1966 from the Ford Dealership that's only a couple miles from my house.

She's a daily driver and I have hopes of doing a father/sons restoration on her (when my boys get older).

Looking forward to getting to know the group here!

Peace in the New Year!

congrats on the pick up... I also have a 66 couple in need of restoration. There are a lot of good resources in the club when your ready to jump in... I'm still trying to find the time to start on my project!

Hey Morgan,

I wondered what ever became of you especially since you came down & took all those pictures of my car!

Good luck to you!

Yup... after coming to see your car I looked at a couple more Mustangs (and even a '62 Fairlane). I settled on this one because it was a "local" car.

I looked at your "for sale" thread and it appears that you found a new home for yours... is that the case?

If you want... pm me your mailing address and I'll send you a cd with the pics I took of your car.

Peace!

Well I have a new home for the 90 GT convertible, but I still have the 66. Thinking of just hanging onto it. Haven't done any recent advertising and other then the threads will probably wait until spring, or may just hang on to it. We've thought about repainting it & possibly putting a V-8 in it, but we'll see.

About the pictures....that would be AWESOME! Thanks a bunch. I should still have your email address stored in mine so I'll send you the address there. If not I'll send it through email here.

Blessings & good luck! She's pretty! :p
