Got a question for ya.
Just installed a Steed Tri-Ax in my 05 and noticed that I am having a hard time shifting into 5th and reverse. Install went smooth:rolleyes: .
Any Ideas????

The same problem was mentioned in this thread and it went away.

Not sure if the your tri-ax is the same as mine for my 01, but make sure you have set up the stops correctly, you may have to adjust them to allow enough room to move the shifter into gear.
I have to adjust mine every so often..mine moves some even though I lock them down. For me Third is a booger sometimes and I have to reset the stop bolts. Hope this helps. Another small problem Ii have with my cobra is that when its cold,(Winter Months) second and reverse are a bit tight, and don't merge smoothly, but once I've driven a few miles and she warms up the problem is gone.

I set my stops.
Mine seems to be an issue of being new.
From what I've read and responses I've gotten, this should disappear after logging around a couple hundred miles.

I've put at least a thosand miles on mine, and it needs an adjustment.

Tri-ax has been great for me compliments of Wake Performance, but the '05 and up shifters are a completely different animal. Give it a few weeks R-man

Glenn, I put the tri-ax in my cobra and do not have any problems with getting the gears. I replaced the trans fluid with synthetic and it made a huge improvement. Every gear is much easier to hit, even when cold.

Thanks I'll try the syn. in Ruby, which brand did you use?
I seem to rember that Carl bishop tried a synthetic in his 5.0 and it would not shift....what brand did he use, and I assume he has a different trans than we do?
