For all that do not know, my car is an automatic, (yes Chuck, the girly car, blah blah blah :)). Anyway, I usually drive it in drive, even racing and for dyno pulls. Question is, sometimes, I like to go through the gears, you know, 1st through 4th, so it sounds like a manual. Can this cause premature tranny damage? I only do it a few times a week around town. I don't beat on it when I do it, just to enough to hear the engine wind out to get the exhaust sounding good.

Shifting like that can't be good for the car. Don't know if it would break something or not. just my $6.48

Don't pay any attention to what Chuck says, he knows he really wants an automatic car too. Just ask him where 2nd is.:grinking:

Just as you said, I don't want to break anything. I get off the gas between shifts and it shifts very smooth, just not sure what kind of pressure that puts on the internal shaft and pump? Well, ask for the Chuck comment, that was pretty good. I still love 'ya Chuckster!

Well, one piece of advise that my dad told me.

Drive it in the manner that you can afford.

If you can afford to fix broke parts go right ahead. If you can't then you better think twice before leaving rubber in front of my driveway again.

Yes Joe"L". I will be pretty cautious with my shifting. However, I am sorry that you left burnt rubber in front of your dad's house.:mustang:
