Scott posted up a lot of information about local dragstrips. I was wondering what everyones preferences were.

I would prefer the 1/4 mile tracks myself. I just want to romp on it, power shift, and see how fast I can go without worrying about the man. Although we all want quick times, my ultimate goal is to have fun, and I can do that better just playing around than obsessing over a tenth.

1/4 mile. Rockingham hooks better than Fayetteville IMO.

1/4 Mile.. I personally think Fayetteville hooks better then the Rock, but it all depends on when you go . If there is some major event going on, they both hook about the same.

I'd have to vote for whatever is closest to the triangle

I haven't ran at the Rock yet, might be interesting to try something different.

Nam. Hooks better than the Rock. Plus, they don't give you any **** about putting your sticky pod on the outside of your car. I bet they would allow me to set up a vid camera right at the lights as well.

+1 for Rockingham. I must admit, on my trips to Fayetteville, I do like the seemingly unlimited number of passes. They all are good as long as you can get there and return home on your own power. On the days that you need a tow, they all suck!

one question I have considering some of the other tracks, I've only been to Fville, do any of the others make you wear a helmet? and do you need a rollcage if your in a vert??

Technically according to the rules, yes you do need a cage. But neither 'nam or The Rock are especially noted for doing proper tech inspections and enforcement (which pisses me off frankly, because I've seen both of them let stuff make runs that had NO business on the track). Neither of them seem to care about helmets either, though as a rule I always wear one. You never know what stupid thing the person in the lane beside of you might decide to do.
