Well my in laws just got their two car garage on their house, unlike ours that has none. My mother in law let me have full use of the left side for car stuff. :bowdown:I just moved in my 6 foot Craftsman mechanic tool chest, tools, stands, floor sealer, radio, and all the other stuff a good auto technician should have. :D I am in the process of getting the "All Data" system loaded into my computer to get my engine guides ready. I still have a few more ASE (automotive service excellence) tests I want to take just to be more proficient. My Christmas gift from all my family are Sears gift cards to stock up on anything I do not have for my diagnostics. I am still looking for a good lift to install in the garage for undercarriage work. Just completed the finishing touches (sweeping, painting, and organizing). I have 8 days of vacation days I am using from tomorrow through November 27th to get some work done. My brother in law is bringing over his 1989 5.0 Monday night to install his new interior with me. Then hopefully we can install the exhaust, headers, and new cam. Anyway, been meaning to find a place to set up all my mechanic stuff to do outside of work, now I can use an enclosed garage to myself. I'll be wrenchin'.

Check here for the lift. Russ got one and it looks good. It is what I will get when I get my garage.

Great! Thanks for the link, I like a couple of those ones on the site. I will keep reading on and see which one is the best for my set-up.

Which one do you have Russ? I would like to get one as well when I add on a new garage.... (not in the near future) also did you have to think about reinforced concert for the extra weight?

I think that Russ got this one, http://eagleequip.com/page/EE/PROD/LI-SS/622-001.
The good thing about this place is they can ship out of Greensboro, so shipping isn't so bad.

My question is did you get extra thick concrete in the floor or reinforced, to carry the extra weight?

Reinforcing the concrete is not necessary, but was done by my builder.
Lift is made to be movable in the garage, with car on it.

The one I bought from Eagle is the MS-7000 Storage/Service Lift.
When I bought it, freight was free, though I would recommend you have some friends there to help you unload it.
It took Noah, Chuck and myself about 6 hours to put it together (Would have been quicker if we had downloaded the instructions off their website)
and if Chuck hadn't forgotten to tighten down a couple nuts....

Comes with ramps, jack tray and casters.
And as someone has already said, they are local (out of Greensboro).

I'll post some pix when I get home from work
