GR-1 To Replace Ford GT?

Not sure how much faith I would put into this story, it was written in 2004. The car is amazing, I saw it at the New York auto show in 2005.

I was going to mention the same about the age of the story. Story is old and I doubt Ford is going to do it now as the Ford GT cannot meet new impact stds which is why they are ending production. Don't see how this car could meet those standards either.

I also recall that Ford axed the Shelby in favor of the GR1.

That is the car that was axed for the GR1.
