Silly Honda!

:mustang: This is pretty funny (to me anyways). First off, let me clarify that I do not condone IN ANY WAY street racing on the highways. Anyway, I'm sitting at the stoplight on HWY 401 in Garner the other day. I hear what sounded like a weedwacker on steroids pulling up next to me. I look to me left and there is a teenage girl in the passenger seat and her I guess boyfriend in the driver seat of the ever popular "ricer" fully equipped with every sticker on God's green earth. Well as you guessed it, he revved the Honda Civic to about 7K and his woman looked at me and said, " he's gotta turbo, don't even waste your time". Well, I am in fact a police officer and know to ignore these idiots, however, the revving and black smoke got to me. The light turned green and he took off, smoke and all. I gave him about 100 yards, then punched the throttle like Sugar Ray Leonard in a championship bout, I passed them in about 4 seconds, I got to about 65 (in a 55 not too bad for the speeding part). I got to the next red light and I looked at the embarressed pair and said " By the way sweetheart, I gotta Mustang, don't even waste your time." I drove off as she and her man cranked up the stereo and shook their heads. I then went to Wendy's.

Good kill sir! If you can race and you are a police officer, I guess it's open season for dragging.:banana: Just kidding. It's funny how these civics try and try to run with our v8's. I am sure there are some that are fast, but they probably cost more than our stangs anyway. It is your duty as a stang owner to slap down those 4 bangers (as safely as possible). Good job!

LOL.. now that made me laugh there. I had some one try to race me in another 5.0 a few months back. But there was no way i was going to put my baby through that, espcially if i wreck her or get a ticket for racing. But THAT was a good laugh...hahaha

Yeah, on their part, not on mine. That Honda smoked like a house on fire, burned oil and gas. I didn't mind using my little bit of high test 93 to put him in his place. LOL

That's great. I had to send this to my son who is off to college with his Acura GSR. He keeps telling everyone that he beat me when he was home for the summer. He couldn't catch up until "Mom" started yelling at me from the passenger seat.
