EARLY leave Raleigh area around 6am +/-. What sounds good to you? I would love to travel with a classic on that trip. Oh and of course you to bud.

How long of a drive is it from raleigh to show site? I am signed up to show already.

Just a bit over 3 hours I'd say. It depends on the traffic etc.

Jeff, they're changing the way they park the cars now, so show or display you can't request a spot. Already tried myself.

Yep the parking this year will be very different than is years past. From what I've seen it will be Display only all parking together, Show only Parking together and that's it. No more Club Parking. If you want to park beside someone you have to roll in with them and you all have to be either showing or display. Should make it easy for the judges to get done without having to walk the entire area 5 times looking for one car.

Yea, that makes sence. Just hope if I drive 3 hrs. there will be some display spaces left.

Chris, I just found out yesterday afternoon our departmet has a mandatory meeting Friday morning for a re-org. It looks like I want be able to make it. If anything changes I'll let you know by the end of the day. You can also call me tonight at home if you like 915-5500.

Traffic down here is just GREAT! And the heat is the same! It is nice to be here and see all the cars though.

See you guys tomorrow. We will be heading out of the Raleigh area around 7:00. Taking a different (more direct) route from last year. Should be a lot shorter and more "bike" friendly.

Just got back from drag night, it was freaking HOT!

4 of us rode bikes down for the car show in Myrtle. The show had some nice cars, but it was freakin HOT. God seeing Raz and Eric.
Raz, what do you mean, they don't have weather like this in Denmark (Ha!Ha!)
It was also good seeing Melvins new ride.

I just got back from the cruise in and there see to be more cars than last year but it was hotter then ever. Had the top down and I think I turned two shades of dark.

Even tho I did my share of showing off with burnouts and such in the past, I still get a kick out of someone else getting a ticket. Now that I don't give in to pier pressure as much, I just sit back, (from a safe distance) and enjoy the show. If someone gets a ticket, you can bet I will laugh my butt off at them.

I do agree with the organizers that it's going to be hard to secure permits for the following year should something happen -- so we pulled out from the Mall nice and easy both Friday and Saturday.

I know Brad, Rodney and Mike.... They were beggin people not to do this ****.... Especially since there are two opportunities at the MB Speedway and Darlington to speed, burn your tires up and act a fool and hurt no one but yourself.

was able to come out of there with 3 shirts, ball caps, and we'll give you a good price on this or that from different vendors that sold me the wrong product or a part that went bad lol

So far the most toned down MW I've been a part of. Fidays parking worked out great and we we're able to get both show and display parked in an hour and a half! As for the rumor of not being able to park together for the cruise-in, not so. I was able to get put YMR, SVT and 120 fox bodies together quickly. You just had to let me know before hand and with no attitude. Also, as long as the vendors verified who was an actual display vehicle and not an "i wanna park over there wannabe" everything worked out fine. If the HCMC cruises down there and wants to park together next year, let me know and I'll make it happen.

I did notice how there were a lot of fox bodies all together. Great job!
