STILL looking for 65/66 Mustang Fastback project. Have found a lot of rust buckets, several just-plain-misrepresented 'vehicles', and a fair number of completely finished cars. DON'T WANT ONE COMPLETELY DONE. It's not about the money - it's about learning how to do some things, work on it MYSELF, and customize it my way.

Someone sent me a private message suggesting an individual in the Raleigh area. Thought he might have what I wanted, but he has since dropped off the planet completely and I have been unable to even get a call-back. :( Looking EVERYWHERE - have had appraisals done on cars in PA and MO already, and currently considering a GA car and a VA car.

Does anyone have any other connections or suggestions - go-to people, people who know and restore Mustangs in (or within a reasonable distance of) the Raleigh area? A dream is a dream - not giving this one up. Help is appreciated - feel free to private message me.

Terry at USA Auto Body in Clayton off Loop Rd. has a 66 sitting under his shelter. I would recomend giving him a call about the car and possibly the cost of body work.
If I had to do it again, Terry would have done the restoration on my 65. I didn't know about those guys until mine was almost completed. USA does great work and always has old muscle cars in the shop under-going repair. Great Guys!!!!!!!!

GT350 - hahahaha! I'm sure your pony is a beaut, and worth every penny.......but like I said, I want to learn and do some things MYSELF. I don't want to end up with just a great classic muscle car to drive, I want to have it become a part of me, and have parts of myself (figuratively, of course!) in it when it's done.....

Thanks for the contact info - Clayton is close! Will give them a call and see what advice they have........appreciate it! :)

I understand. If you have any question once you buy one give me a call. Being I just finished a complete restoration I can help you with dos and donts.
Also, when people say they remanufacture every part do not beleive them.
