This will be our official club event for the month! Hope to get as many people as possible to attend. I don't really have any "show" car but might have to drag a track car down instead. Wonder how the judges would feel about rock chips, rubber scuffs and maybe a donut in the door?

Because we have people coming from all over my suggestion will be Burger King/Exxon at I40/42. The address is 104 Commerce Parkway, Garner, for those with GPS.: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=104+Commerce+Parkway,+Garner,+NC&sll=35.605082,-78.565814&sspn=0.003245,0.006968&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=104+Commerce+Pkwy,+Garner,+Johnston,+North+C arolina+27529&ll=35.60521,-78.565915&spn=0.006673,0.013937&t=h&z=17&layer=c&cbll=35.605082,-78.565814&panoid=fGs6cjnWgfjU_9-MBTZVPg&cbp=12,62.36,,0,12.83
These are the routes I would suggest, ie. either I40 to 95, or 50 all the way down: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=104+Commerce+Pkwy,+Garner,+NC+27529&daddr=1700+West+Cumberland+Street,+Dunn,+NC+28334-4510+(Dunn-Benson+Ford)&hl=en&geocode=FfpJHwIdfi5R-ykJzPD0iWOsiTFf746rmg-jcA%3BFVLfGgIdIUdQ-yldfVlnvIGriTHp-mTSfoo-1A&mra=ls&sll=35.459551,-78.572159&sspn=0.427855,0.891953&ie=UTF8&ll=35.456755,-78.552246&spn=0.42787,0.891953&t=h&z=11 (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=104+Commerce+Pkwy,+Garner,+NC+27529&daddr=1700+West+Cumberland+Street,+Dunn,+NC+28334-4510+%28Dunn-Benson+Ford%29&hl=en&geocode=FfpJHwIdfi5R-ykJzPD0iWOsiTFf746rmg-jcA%3BFVLfGgIdIUdQ-yldfVlnvIGriTHp-mTSfoo-1A&mra=ls&sll=35.459551,-78.572159&sspn=0.427855,0.891953&ie=UTF8&ll=35.456755,-78.552246&spn=0.42787,0.891953&t=h&z=11)
It's going to be in between 30 to 45 minutes to get there depending on the route so I would suggest leaving between 8.00-8.15. I don't want to bug SRU too much by arriving too early, but I do want to get us all parked together.

Congrats to all who got trophies! I'm afraid I don't remember all, but we got a good bunch of the Top 30 awards, Jeff got best early model Mustang with the GT350H, Ron got the Waxman award for best shine with his GT/CS, and we got club participation! Yes indeed, we had 12 cars register at the show plus 2 pre-regs for a total of 14, beating out Sandhills by 2.
Thanks to all of you who came out, and thanks to SRU for a great show! I don't think I remember another Mustang/Ford show with free ice cream, live band, clown, and Barney Fife.

Hope you guys enjoyed the show, thanks for hanging in there, the live band got us tremendously behind on door prizes and raffle items so we had to rapid fire them to get them out.
Congrats on the Club Participation .. Much deserved !!!
Thanks for supporting us , With your help we helped raise $3,300 for the Autism Society of NC !!

Great show hosted by SRUMC!!!!! They had tons off raffle and door prizes. I think it took them over an hour just to hand out all the prizes. I know I left their with a trunk full of goodies. I believe they had a little over 100 cars for the show and display.

Agreed great show. I will work to post some pictures within the week. I have shots of most of our club cars. Also Bob if you are checking the forums I picked up some winnings for you from your tickets...SRUMC did a nice job having lots of door prizes.

Just a heads up.
Apparently Sandhills Mustang Club, SMC, has cried foul over the club participation. I looked into it, and it would appear that some people over there got their panties in a bunch. According to the registration sheets SMC had 11 registrations on the day, 1 that pre-registered, and 1 that didn't put down a club affiliation. According to my math that cannot make more than a total of 13 -- if we're being nice enough to count the one who got his registration wrong.
We, however, had 12 registration on the day of the show, and 2 pre-registerations, for a total of 14 cars.
14 > 13
So, no foul anywhere. Those club members who came out won that trophy fair and square.
