I would be great to find out for those that enter if the club can park together and hang our club banner. Thoughts? I tried to call the guy, but never received a call back.

If I'm not mistaken, (and I frequently am, just ask Jan), he offered us free space for a club display. Anyone else remember that? Maybe you can ask him if he calls you back.

He did offer the club a free booth at the show if we want it. He is also a new member of the club. I am not available that day/weekend so could not lead the charge to set up a table but if we have some members that would be interested in it, I'll pass along his contact info. Might be able to display some cars and passout for club info during the times folks were going to be there anyway. Let me know.

Do we have any folks going to this show? They offered us a booth for the club. I don't want to says yes unless we have someone to take the lead on this. Post up if you are planning to be there for the whole show. My guess is a booth would be a table with our banner and somebody to answer any questions, hand out our club cards, etc. Thanks.

I spoke with Tim Cleary this past Friday 2/5, and he advised he was visiting the Kerr Scott Bldg today to take measurements on just how to prepare the layout. Indoor "vendor spaces" will be his 1st priority. Evidently he has not contacted other clubs in the area, so I suggested MOB and Stangs R Us. He advised that Twisted Stallions had a booth, did not ask for what purpose. Tim asked for possible volunteers to be judges, but I did not respond for our group. He is planning on visiting our meeting this Thursday with details of set up, I figure you guys can offer suggestions. This is his groups 1st show, so impression is he is unaware of "show" type details needed. He was unsure of number and types of car potential for this show, i.e. classes and judging criteria. He may ask for a headcount at the Thurs mtg!! I would hate to see them have to turn away cars at the gate on Feb 20th, so hopefully he measures and plans well. He is supposed to call me this evening, so I will update if available.

I might be able to make it by for a while. I think there needs to be some clarity on the entrance fee and such. I have found some adds saying $10 for car entry and even some that say $5 for spectator entry.

we kinda hit on this at the meeting the other night, I 2 have seen two different ads with different prices. (one being $10 and the other $15) As of today I have neither one of the flyers so if you have one with the lower price on it...how about making me a copy for less than $5 :)

I'm not real sure how the group heading up this event will be keeping track of everything so I'm just going to go, pay my entry fee of whatever it may be, hang out with everyone and mostly have a good time. Not worried about any trophy or doing any hard cleaning on the car.

Oh yes! I found the old flyer which says show cars $15.00 and admission $7.00. I talked with Tim last week and he told me $20.00 for show cars at that time. I'll bring the flyer it wouldn't hurt.

When we leave Farmer Market and get to our location, if not showing, just parking the car for display or whatever, will it be easy enough to leave when need to? I'm not sure anyone would know this but if parking together if not showing I'm assuming you could leave when need to.

hey guys Gerard from Twistedstallions, if we planned on showing some of our cars do we need to do anything before hand or just go?? What kind of show is it? Is this more of a display show or will there be judging and awards? We have limited info on this part but do have a booth set up. Let me know if you know!
Thanks!

I just spoke with Tim at the fair grounds this afternoon in regard to the car show. He told me show cars are $15 and display is $10. He said he would like all the club cars park together on the cement pad out front. He wants us on the right hand side facing the building. He stated he would like for everone to stay the entire show, but the ones who may need to leave early can park closets to the exit of the pad. He said we do not have to go throw the registration line at the rear of the building, just drive straight onto the pad. They would like for us to back in around the perimiter of the cement pad. See Ya at breakfeast.

Seems like there was a decent turn out for the first all Ford show. My wife now wants a Taurus SHO, sad thing is my employer(Hendrick Automotive group) doesn't own a Ford dealership.
I did meet up with the guy who sold me a set of V-8 Fox brakes and spindles as well as the right driveshaft for my car. Then while brousing around inside found a sweet deal on a C&L MAF and GT-40 upper and lower intake. I'll be uploading pics soon.

It was a great turnout from our club and we had fun right up to the point of arrival. The promoter of this show bit off more than they could chew. Hopefully they will be more organized next year. They should have had the show in the livestock arena. Many cars showed up with no place to park. Its like inviting 20 people to a party with food and drinks for 5.
