This is a 1985 Ford F-150 4x4 regular cab that I bought as a parts truck. First it sat at my house and now it's sitting at Chuck's place in Creedmoor.

It has the 351W HO 5.8L V8 with the factory 4bbl Holley, 9" rear, C6 automatic transmission, NP208 transfer case, Dana 44 front axle. I was hoping to use the 9" for my Bronco and the engine wiring as well, but...

It is in Creedmoor, NC. You will need a trailer with a winch to get it. I'd be more than happy to help of course.

But I have the key. Well, the ignition key. The door key is missing and well since we locked it we'll have to break in. :bag:

"Breaking in" will not be a problem!

Any interest yet? No rush, just actually using this as an excuse to take this TTT.

just curious .... what type of horsepower did they put out stock? Will that motor fit in a 94/95 Cobra without too much work?

210 hp and 285ish ft-lbs, torque curve is pretty flat from 1800 to 4000, falls off after that. It's a flat tappet cam and lifters, so if you want to throw in a 5.0 HO cam or some other roller cam, you'd need $500 worth of retrofit roller lifters (roller cam deals with the low zinc levels in today's oil). If you want a flat tappet cam (like the 95 Cobra R cam) then you will not need retrofit lifters. It will fit with a 95 Cobra R hood, but you'd need to steal some parts from the 5.0 in the 94/95 (oil pan etc), and you'd need some new parts (EFI 351W dizzy $100, EFI 351W timing chain cover $50, head bolts $50, EFI lower intake manifold $250, intake bolts $25, RTV and adhesives $50, gaskets (head, intake, valve cover, timing chain) $100). The engine itself appears to be original to the truck without a rebuild, and I'm unsure of the milage, so I'd give it a once over before I put it into a car. A new timing chain and harmonic balancer would be a good idea, too. Now it sounds like a total rebuild!
