Gauging interest here -

Trying to put together some cars for the Cary Christmas Parade. It's Saturday 12/12 from 2PM - 4 PM. Looking for five convertibles for dignitaries and some other cars to drive in the parade for show. It's at the same time and day as the HCMC Christmas Party, so if you're planning on going to the Christmas Party you need to clone yourself.

Bummer with the schedule conflict. We used to do this parade (and many others) and they are always fun and a way to promote the club. Maybe some other opportunities will pop up for a parade. Count me in if there are other parades that work with the schedule.

I will be there, we can talk. We need convertibles for the dignitaries, unfortunately all other cars need to pay to be in the parade.

did I read that right...$25 to enter a car in the xmas parade...and they are asking us to participate?? we used to be asked just to help "fill-in" with our cars!!

No, I think there's some miscommunication.

The Cary Jaycees are charging $$$ for people that want to be a part of the parade.

I am looking for five or six CONVERTIBLES to drive dignitaries around in. No charge for these vehicles.

If HCMC wants to send an entourage, I am sure I can work something out for the parade so that there is not a $25 charge for each car.

The parade is at the same time as the HCMC Christmas dinner, so I don't see this being a club event this year.

Hopefully that clears it up, if not, grab me at the meeting on Thursday.
