HCMC Halloween Dyno Day

Where: Fastlane Motorsports
When: October 31st, 9am til done
Cost: $35 for 2 pulls including wideband A/F
Event lead: Ras, 919-601-0839
Meetup: The Golden Corral parking lot 8:00am. We leave 8:15am OR Burger King parking lot at exit 312 on 40.

They can do about 20 cars in one day, so 20 is what we're aiming for! If we can't come up with that many, I'll start to ask around in order to fill up the spots.

If anyone only has an hour or two to spare that day, but still wants to participate, let me know in advance and I'll see if we can't come up with a schedule to accommodate.

No track events that weekend so I might just have to cruise down and watch. Since brakes and suspension mods don't reall do much for the dyno numbers, no point this time. Only thing I have that hasn't seen the dyno is is the F250 and the Edge.

I would actually like to see the Edge on the dyno.

Anyway, you can always add a couple of stickers, delta the increase in horsepower and find the average sticker rwhp value. Our own version of Mythbusters.

sorry for being a little out of touch on this coming from bikes and such but what goes down at dynos, besides i mean telling you how much power i have, is there tune up[ that gives the max power and fuel mileage?

No tune up, unless you bring your own laptop and parts. It's pretty much just seeing who puts down what, so it's not a dyno tuning session, just a couple of rips on the rollers.

Yeah you won't have time to do that during a club dyno meet, that takes several hours, whereas during the dyno meet you're on for 20 minutes.

I would also like to encourage as many people as possible to come out to the event. As many already know, I'll be leaving town and it would be great to hang out with as many of you as I can just like dyno days of years past.

Yes, I will be there, and I will be dynoing the Danger Ranger. If It's over 100 to the wheels I will be severely disappointed, as I'm trying to break the all time low.

Price as discussed ended up being $35, however we might just end up with some bonus food.

As we're still far off the 20 max number of cars, I'll try to get the word out.

Usually we also meet at exit 312 @ BK since there are those on this side that don't want to drive all the way to Cary only to drive back. If you want, I can lead a meetup there and as you approach the exit, call me, we can link up on 40. Up to you.

I am doubt I will be able to dyno my Mustang. She is still at Fastlane, been there for two weeks now, and they are trying ti trouble shoot why she is acting to oddly. I'd like to go regardless to look at her and see what Fastlane is all about, maybe do some pictures...So if some one can get a address to me of the meeting spot? Or I can go straight there.. I will be driving a ***** S10 pickup there if i make it

Ok then. The plan for exit 312 is to meet there between 8:00am and 8:25am. We'll move out of there as soon as Ras or someone gives me a ring that they are passing exit 303. We'll then drive out on 40 and await their lead.

Hats off to Melvin, Caleb and all the Fastlane gang for another awesome dyno day! Had a great time talking with everyone and putting some more faces with names. The Mach put down some good numbers again. 296hp and not sure what the tq was but it was 2 more hp than last time :rockon2:
