It is still limited to 100 2007's. I think in these tough times people are just trying to make an easy, fast buck any way they can. Asking for any more than the value of the car in the first place shows that the lawsuit is cr^p anyway.

Maybe it's just me but I'd be jumping hysterically if I was the owner of a roush stage 3 blackjack. Who cares about the 08s. There are still only 100 07s.

I would have thought the issue would have been with Roush and not Ford. Ford had this same issue with the 03/04 Mach1's and nothing came of that. With the number they are seaking, I'm guessing that they included the cost the lawyers.
If you say limited and spell out how many you are going to make, I guess the consumer should also verify if that is a yearly total or an overall total.
In the end all I see happening is the abuse of the term "LIMITED" or "LIMITED EDITION" will lose its appeal and you won't have people spending extra cash to get that "limited" car. Only going to hurt them either way. I doubt Ford pays out anything.

Its sorta the same thing as the Bullitt. Scott Hoag promised that the 01's were the only ones how there are 08.5/09s out.

So looking at that idea you could sue, finally afford that paint job for the danger ranger :). But then again, once you think about it, you still have an 01 and the roush owners still have an 07. The whole thing just sounds petty.

Good read. Some people have too much time on their hands or too much money or both.

The amount of "special edition" and "limited production" S197 Mustangs has really diluted the term. Anyone can slap a body kit, bling rims, and a supercharger on a Mustang.
These people won't get a dime from Ford.

I remember a TV ad for a Honda Accord "Special Edition." Could never understand what was special about it, because it was just like the other million Accords...
