We have been having a lot of snakes around the property at work in the last few weeks and I got a call today about one and ran over to get him. I have never handled a snake before but have seen enough of the Croc. Hunter to know what to do :dude:. I took off my work shirt, then used my trash stick to hold his head and I just grabbed him. It was rather easy. I then just threw him in the woods but not before my pansy co-workers took a picture. None of them would get closer then 10' to it.

Its just a common rat snake. Nothing posineous or scary.

Good job!! :) At least it wasn't rattling when you got near it! My daughter said she found a dead baby rattler on the sidewalk one day while skateboarding! It never even occurred to me they are around here! ! It looks about as long as Ariel's & Brianna's boa's! I like to watch them especially when it's feeding time but I won't hold them.. :yikes:

The only good snake is a dead snake, preferably in a different zip code than me.

I killed one last week and didn't like it so when I catch them I am just throwing them back in the woods. I have never held a live snake till today....kinda an interesting feeling creature.

I must agree with Eric on the good snake, dead snake thing. I found one at the end of my driveway last year. It made for a good opportuntity for a burnout video on the lightning (I couldn't allow the Cobra to do-in another snake. Take my advice. Do not put a dead snake into a trash bag and place it in the collection bin when trash day is 2 days away on a 90+ degree day. Next time I will take it across the street to the park for the nature lovers:crying: . Don't hate guys, I am joking about the park thing. My daughter and I go walking on the trails all the time and I would never do that. But if snakes want to live, they should stay out of the way of my truck or 12 gauge.

:sign0103:Are you kidding, I love to see cobras take down vipers :stars: As for snakes, I'm rather handy with a shovel. :sign29:Jeremy.
