View Full Version : Anyone interested in going to a drive-in?

I am toying with the idea of going to the drive in in Henderson on June 7th. They will have a triple show of Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda, and another movie TBD.

I was just throwing out the idea to gauge interest, nothing definite. I am not sure what we would drive, vert or truck. We have done the truck at a drive-in before and it was good. I have never been to this theater before, but every other drive in I have been to before was BAD for lowered cars .... just something to keep in mind.

An additional thought ( I know, hard to believe .... 2 in one night ) is that we could meet for ice cream near 540 and 1 and drive up together.

Sounds good, Ice Cream and a Movie....Sharon and I can do that but I'll have to leave earily, I have to have Sharon Home by 9:00 PM. She has strict parents!
Wait, Sharon says she can stay out all night , she'll tell her Dad I'm not going...I'm not sure he likes me!

Sounds like fun! We want ICE SCREAM! :tongue: ... And will have to bring the vert(nice having options :grinking: ) for this one.. not sure about eating :popcorn: in my car though...lol

Casey and I are planning on hitting ice cream at 6. first movie starts at 8:45 ( Kung Fu Panda ) ..... Indiana Jones starts at 10:30 ..... Leatherheads starts at 12:30 ( We are leaving after Indy ). I will see whomever at 6 and we will probably head up at 6:45

Jan is not going!
We will have the vert!

Sorry, but we will not be going this time. Jan has a sprained ankle and is getting around on crutches. Hope you have a good turnout and a great time.

I am heading out, anyone needs to talk to me can call my cell ....

If no one else shows up for ice cream or calls me, we will probably bail on the drive in ( due to the heat ) and hit Indy in the inside theaters. If anyone else shows, we are good to go.

Did anyone show for ice cream and the movie? I can't believe how dead it was at Char-Grill. No one hardly got there until about 5:30 or so. It never even got to be about half of what it normally does.

My family had Ice Cream alone. Richard met me at the theater ..... the movies were ok, drive in was cool except that it was hot.

We watched the first movie sitting in front of our cars in car show chairs ( coveted Ariels chair ) and for the second movie we sat in the car. The sound was much better in the car with the shaker 500 and when i ran the car for a while, I also kicked in the A/C .... even with the top down, it was nice and cool.
