I have lived in Cary for 6 years and have yet to find a garage (I've tried more than five) that can maintain my 66 convertible worth a ****. I love to drive it but don't have the time to maintain it (we all need TLC once we get past 40 years old). In the latest episode, I took it two two different garages a total of 6 times and the carburator is still rough and still causes the car to stall when idling. Does anyone know of a person in the Triangle area who really knows and loves to work on classic Mustangs... both mechanical and restoration/bodywork? I would greatly appreciate a reliable reference. Thanks!

I have been meaning to check into this more myself, there is a shop in Fuquay-Varina that I pass that I see a lot of classics sitting out front from time to time. I've been meaning to stop in and ask about their services. There are others in the club with classics too so hopefully one of them has a lead as well, but I will let you know what I find out when I get a chance.
Sorry I couldn't help more.

Hi, my name is Kenneth Black and i work for a restoration and performance shop called Trinity Performance. we specialize in restoration and upgrades for mustangs 1964 1/2 - 2007. we are also a full collision repair shop. I am in the process of putting up a web site but in the mean time. shoot me your Email and i can shoot you some pics of some of the cars we have done. although we are located in Goldsboro N.C. we are not to far and in some occasions we can arrange for pick up and delivery of your pride and joy. give the shop a call with any questions and ask for LEE STOWE 919-778-7550. Hope i can help in some small way.

I do this kind of stuff as a part-time hobby. Send me a PM and we can talk.

I believe that shop in FV is a body and paint shop. I see the great cars they have outside during the day many times. Does Carolina Mustang do any kind of work. Just a thought.

Carolina Mustang used to do maintenance and restoration work, but they stopped a long time ago. They might be willing to do some quick jobs, you'd have to call and ask, 467-2900.
