Hey guys ... well the manifold in my 96 GT finally cracked. I am going to replace it tomorrow, but I am needing some instructions to make sure I do everything correctly. I have done lots of work on the car before, but never had to change the manifold. Does anyone know where I can find a write up online for this??? Any help or advice would be appreciated.... thanks.

Try Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc. for a Haynes or Chilton Manual for your car. You can also go online and Yahoo search "intake manifold removal 1996 Mustang GT" in the search bar on yahoo.com. Try this too:http://www.mn12performance.com/mn12-techinfo/tsb/R97M91a3.PDF

Assuming you mean upper intake manifold, you shouldn't have to do it - the part was recalled by Ford.

Shouldn't have to do it? C'mon Paul, where's the fun in NOT working on your own car? Just kidding, if it was recalled by Ford, gather up your necessary paperwork and have an authorized dealer do it for you. I guess that's how it would work.

I agree J-man - sometimes you're better off doing it yourself. Good opportunity to put one of those new aftermarket manifolds on that are coming out:banana:
