Well, taking the Stang in tomorrow at 7:30 am to see if Ford is going to replace my tranny or just fix exactly where the intermittent drip is coming from. I got it set where it barely drips, but that is what a warranty is for. I'll post tomorrow what they say.

I just talked to Ford and they said it is leaking from the torque converter seal and are pulling the transmission out to replace the .30 cent part, LOL! The TSB out now about the leaking pressure relief valve is for the older body style 1999-2004. However, mine is fully covered under warranty and will be ready tomorrow after lunch time, then I will re-connect the NO2, as Ford doesn't need to know some "private" things. Yeah, you know the deal. Turns out the leak was caused by a factory defect that causes dripping around 8-10K miles. Mine just did hit 10K, so all you 05+ model guys and gals, check your driveways for fluid stains, and check under your car on the bell housing to see if it is dripping pink too. So, I will post tomorrow right after lunch when I am back cruising.

LOL, 12's all motor was turning out to be too expensive. I'll stick to the paid for item.:grinking: My brother in law and I are going to the track again in the next couple weeks to run some more. His '88 5.0 is ready to run too. The G-Tech meter is pretty cool, I gotta remember to give it back to Richard when I am done. :)

Interesting about your leak, Joe. Please do me a favor and ask them if they are seeing this with the V6 autos as well--that's what mine is, and I just turned 10,000 miles on the trip to the track :)

How many folks cars hit 10,000 miles this weekend? Sounds like a few of us had that happen. Mine turned just as we got on the onramp to I-95 going home.

Good, Ford said only a few thousand had the issue, something specific about the correct size gasket was not installed in some models, and most were overfilled from the factory. Ding Ding Ding, I gotta winner LOL!:grinking:

Well, I will get my car tomorrow, Wednesday. Ford is replacing the transmission pump gasket, torque converter seal, and also they are replacing the torque converter. They said while they have everything out, just to be on the safe side, they are putting in a new torque converter. So one more day to go. :)

Okay, Ford has it all done except for the new vent tube, which allows the tranny to beathe better. That piece has to be special ordered from Greensboro and will be at Ford first thing in the morning. I will pick up the car tomorrow before lunch. Well, time to watch some movies. :)

Picked her up at 4:30 today, no leaks, even after a little giggle gas. Okay okay, I'll save that sauce for the track. Good to be back on the road! :)

Sounds like your dealer has a good service department, which one do you use? I use Capitol Ford in Raleigh. So far it's only got 4800 miles on it but I've had it serviced once already. Plus a week after I bought it they had to replace the battery. I've been pleased with them so far.

I use Don Jenkin's Ford service in Fuquay Varina. I bought my car there so they do the warranty work. All the other stuff I do. :)
