steeda shifter for my '00

I've been thinking of upgrading to a steeda shifter for my '00 GT. It seems a lot of vendors list like 80-something up to 2000 or 2001. Were the 5 speeds changed in '00 or '01?

Not all 01's had the 3650's - I know the 01 S.E. Bullitt :) had the new 3650. To answer your questions, the 3650 transmission became available in 01 and in 02 came factory installed.

this is true it was mid-2001 that they made the complete switch.

Got a new steeda shifter and installed it on Saturday, pretty neat! Makes more noise than the std. shifter, but found a guy on the web that sells a gasket kit to help with the noise for $6.

Bob's gaskets, right? You will have to scrape all the sealant off the bottom of the shifter. The thing about Bob's gaskets, you don't have to use any sealant.
