I posted this last week: http://www.hcmcstangs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1139 (http://www.hcmcstangs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1139) Gauge Cluster Problem.

I also found this link using the search function http://www.mustangforums.com/image/s4.gif Good summary of the problem I am having.
http://www.mustangforums.com/m_1868197/tm.htm (http://www.mustangforums.com/m_1868197/tm.htm)

Since then my car has developed the dreaded battery drain. I dropped the car off at the dealer last night(2/28). This is what I learned from the dealer today. They had to jump the car this morning(it was dead). After diagnosing the problem, they determined that they were going to have to replace the entire gauge cluster. He told me they could not figure out the battery drain. He told me that they hooked my car up and could not find any drain on the entire system. He believes it has to do with the guage cluster. Its still going to be 7-10 days before they have my gauge cluster in, so I will take the car back to the dealer when it is in.

On another note: I also mentioned the rear end whine and problems fueling up when I dropped the car off. He aslo told me that they are going to keep the car overnight and replace the clutch packs that I believe there is a TSB out for. As for the fuel, he told me that he has "heard" about this problem and can only suggest that I dont put the fuel nozzle in as far....................Didnt lead me to believe that there was anything that could rectify this problem...

Stay tuned! Ill let you know all the juicy details when the car is finally fixed.

The 05 Mustangs have a TSB for fuel filling problems.
They have to replace the entire fule tank. But from what I understand Ford fixed this problem on new models.

I never had my tank replaced even though it needed it.
I just put the fuel pump filler in upside down and the car fills fine.

GOOD LUCK!

Here is the list (long) of TSB's for the S197's. It has the actual pdf's and is a great resource if you are having any of these issues and need to print one off.

Excellent post Black07! Thanks!

Is it just me or are there ALOT of TSB's out on these things? Is it normal for there to be that many on a car, or is Ford easing slowly down the crapper with their product?

DONT GET ME WRONG!! I LOVE MY CAR! But Ford seems kinda "Blah" on the quality of the product they sell........
