Ok, so me and my wife went to dinner tonight. When I got in the car and fired her up, I got a bunch of warning tones i.e. Oil pressure low, parking brake on, low fuel warning, low brake fluid. The Mycolor gauges also dont work(no custom color like I had it set).....None of the actual gauges were wirking either except the speedo, tach, and volt guage. The TCS light is on whether I push the button or not, and the blinkers and hazards DO work, but there is no clicking when I turn the blinkers or the hazards on. I just get the white back light like when the car is on, but the headlights are off. My AUX on the Shaker500 does not work, and nor does my key fob!
NOW....the parking brake WAS NOT set, theres plenty of fluids in the car, and i have 3/4 tank of gas. Its clearly a malfunction!!
Has anyone heard of a problem that these cars are havng with the gauge cluster. OR Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
Thanks,
Joel

I have not had any problems with mine ( other than the leaking brake fluid reservoir ... check that out when your current problems are solved ). A great source of info on the s197s is TheMustangSource.com . Good luck and post up what you find.

The ECU in these new Stang's are VERY touchy. Ever since the drive by wire stuff, I have not liked Ford's idea of their computer set up, but I like my pony. :) As far as your deal, sounds like the powertrayne (won't let me type the "R" word as it can jinx good weather) control module is serously malfunctioning. If all of those errors are happening that close together, the computer needs to be re-calibrated or replaced under their factory warranty. Also, I would take it to Ford ASAP to see if there will be any TSB's on it. If it was me, and I was a Ford dealership, I would save the future headache and replae the computer module. That takes less than an hour, and will save the "customer returning with same problem" situation.
God luck man.

Last week I went to start my car and nothing but a click.. SOOO.. we jumped it and it started right away.. What I did notice was that the cd player kept cycling, I didn't even have it on.. lol.. Plus my driver side window wouldn't do the auto-up so I couldn't shut the door properly.. Not sure what caused it, but brought it in and they did a reprogram, it's working fine.. Hopefully it's just a wacky glitch and they can do the same for yours! Lets us know how you make out!

I had aa similiar glitch, after turning on mY AC one day for the first time, hahahaha, my "Charge" light came on, battery was working perfect everything was working perfect, no low power or nything it just came on for a brief time nd then went of and every now and then, it pops on, haven't done so lateley, but I cant take it to have it reflashed cuse that would kill my Diablo settings, so I just live with it when it happens.
Joel, keep us informed of what's going on. Like someone mentioned I'd take it to the dealership, dont know if you have a SCT/Diablo tune on it, but be careful if ya do.

You know, I went to crank her up today and she was DEAD!!!! So im guessing its a major problem! When I jumped her off, everything had reset and all my "stuff" was working properly again. I was showing a "check engine" light though. Dont know what the deal is. I did read on another forum that there is something with the Shaker500 that is d****ing the battery. Dont think that is my problem, BUT it was very coincidental that she was dead after only 1 day on not driving......... If I can find that thread, I will post it.

Think I was one of those people too. I didn't think it worked any more though. Guess I was wrong.
Good Luck Joel with the issue on your car.

Do you leave your car outside in the ****? If so check the passenger side floor area. I've seen a ton of posts with people that have had major leaks in their cars. TOO MANY quality, or lack there of issues with the S197's...

Yeah, Ive read about the leak issues......Im ok in that regard so far. BUT all this crap started last week when we had that little shower in the evening......
If anyone watches Jimmy Kimmel....That filter reminds me of when he does the "needless censorship." Funny.......So, does that mean I cant say **** on here either??
Guess not.........LOL
