Take Me Out To The Ballgame

On Wednesday, June 30th, members of the Heart Of Carolina Mustang club attended the Durham Bulls baseball game against the Louisville Bats. The weather cooperated as the high temperature for the day was only 77 after numerous days in the 90’s. The only thing that did not cooperate was the traffic, as a bomb scare had shut down I-40 and there were massive tie-ups that delayed some from getting to the park and caused a few to cancel their plans to attend. We had secured the “Blue Monster” picnic area on top of the left field wall, where the famous snorting Bull sign is located. We were treated to a buffet consisting of fried chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese, beans, potato salad, and all the fixings. There was also a cooler full of Pepsi products to drink. The Bulls fell behind early but battled back to tie the score and send the game into extra innings. They won on a bases loaded walk in the 10th inning. Everyone seemed to have a great time.
