The 17th annual HCMC Mustang and Ford Powered Car Show will be held on Saturday, September 18th at the Outlet Mall in Morrisville. Proceeds go to the Wounded Warriors and the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina. Registration is only 20 dollars.

On Sunday, May 2nd, long time HCMC member Dean Lazarro hosted other club members at his home. Dino provided barbeque from White Swan, burgers, sausages, and of course his world famous pasta salad, as well as beer, soda, and bottled water. Many of the guests brought deserts, including cakes, cookies, fudge, brownies, and a delectable peach cobbler.
On Saturday, April 28th, members of the Heart of Carolina Mustang Club traveled to the Virginia International Raceway for the Grand Am Rolex sports car series race. David Olechevsky led the group from the Brier Creek area up to the track. There was a second group waiting in Durham to join the parade. Members of the HCMC met up at the Char-Grill on Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh for the first cruise in of the year. Richard Epps and his friend Chrissy, Dennis and Jan Wallace, and Victor Stevens and his son were the only members who attended, although a few former members and old friends were there as well. The weather was perfect, except for the pollen, temperature in the low 70’s with a light breeze and high clouds. There was the usual mix of old and new cars, a few bikes, and some trucks. Richard won an apple pie and Chrissy won a chocolate shake by answering some trivia questions, with an assist from Google and someone’s Blackberry.
Char-Grill will host a cruise in on the first Saturday of each month through October.
