Tarheel Auto Cross event in Danville

Author: WEBMASTER  |  Category: Events

Some club members ran their Fords up in Danville on Saint Patrick’s Day.  Your Webmaster ran his Focus SVT for his first Auto Cross outing and took 3rd overall in the Novice class of 23 entries, missing 2nd by .007 seconds and giving up first place to an EVO all-wheel-drive. The sweet part was being the only FORD in Novice class and beating 20 foreign cars!

This new venue allows us to hang out once a month, go in where it’s cool and have a cold one, and talk about cars!  What a perfect combination. Come join us in July!

Ford Racing Representative will be on hand!

You may have read his work in SVT Enthusiast magazine and his columns in Mustang Times. Or perhaps you’ve seen him talk Ford performance on “The History Channel” and “SpeedVision.” You may even own his limited-edition, sold-out hardcover history book, “Mustang Dynasty.” Now you can meet him in person! Noted auto journalist and author John Clor, a former SVT PR man who today manages Ford Racing’s club outreach program and the Enthusiast section on FordRacing.com, will be on-site at our show for a special Ford Racing “Meet-n-Greet.” He’ll be giving away FREE full-color Boss 302 posters and 2012 Ford Racing Performance Parts CD catalogs to the first 100 attendees who stop by his tent. Don’t miss this chance to meet our club’s very own Ford connection from Dearborn!

Ah, the Ford Mustang. If there’s one vehicle that captures the speed, style, and history of the American pony car, this is the one. From its original incarnation in 1964 to its current 5th generation, you can be sure heads will turn when a ‘stang is on the prowl!

Ford Mustang Accessories

You might be thinking of enhancing your Mustang, but since accessories and performance parts come in such a variety, it can be hard to know where to start. Generally, accessories fall in to four categories – exterior, interior, performance and general. Exterior includes anything designed to protect your car’s surface or to change its outer styling— for example, body kits and car bras. Interior accessories such as seat covers and floor mats also protect, but are great for enhancing comfort as well. The fun really starts with performance parts. Exhaust systems are a natural choice, and they’ll set your ride apart from anything else on the road. With their mean, throaty rumble you’ll definitely be heard! Other accessories range from cold air intakes and brakes to shocks, all designed to maximize your HP, torque, and stopping power!
